JNE is a company engaged in shipping and logistics, based in Jakarta, Indonesia. Its official name is Tiki Strip Nugraha Ekakurir and become one of the largest courier companies in Indonesia.PT Tiki Strip Nugraha Ekakurir established on 26 November 1990 by Soeprapto Suparno. The company pioneered as a division of PT Citra van Courier Express (Tiki) which is engaged in international courier services. With eight people and 100 million dollars of capital JNE began its business activities are focused on the handling of customs, import shipment of goods, documents and pengantaranya from overseas to Indonesia.
In 1991, JNE expand its international network by joining as an associate member companies courier several Asian countries (ACCA) which bermakas in Hong Kong who then gave the opportunity to the JNE to develop conduction region to the whole world. Due to competition in the domestic market, JNE also focus expands domestic network. With a domestic network and its name Tiki, JNE benefit of competition in the domestic market. JNE is also expanding its services with logistics and distribution.
During a year-year and JNE Tiki develop and become two companies that have self direction. Because of this both companies become rivals. JNE eventually became the company themselves with self-management. JNE menlancar logo itself and differentiate from the tiki. JNE also bought the buildings in 2002 and founded the JNE Sorting Operations Center. Then the central office building for JNE also bought and was founded in 2004. Both of them are in Jakarta.
